A Kenmore home received several plumbing upgrades to improve reliability and address multiple problem areas throughout the house. We started by repairing a leaking kitchen drain in the crawl space, replacing the damaged 2-inch combination fitting and properly supporting the drain line to maintain the correct slope. We also repaired a leaking copper water line above the master bathroom shower valve by replacing the damaged section with new copper piping.
Next, we replaced an aging Glacier Bay toilet with a new Toto Drake elongated toilet. During the installation, we inspected the toilet flange, installed new closet bolts, a wax ring, and a new water supply line, then tested everything to ensure it was working properly without leaks.
To help protect the home’s plumbing system, we installed a new pressure reducing valve and upgraded the main water shutoff from an older gate valve to a modern ball valve. The water pressure was adjusted to 65 PSI to help reduce unnecessary stress on the home’s plumbing.
Finally, we replaced a nearly 20-year-old Rheem 50-gallon gas water heater with a new Bradford White 50-gallon gas water heater. The installation included a new expansion tank, updated water and gas flex lines, reconnecting existing code-compliant components, and hauling away the old unit. After installation, the new system was thoroughly tested to confirm everything was operating safely and efficiently.
