During the inspection, our plumber found several original shut-off valves, water supply lines, and a leaking main water shut-off valve that were well past their expected service life.
To restore reliability throughout the home’s plumbing system, we replaced seven emergency angle stops and flexible water supply lines serving the bathroom sinks, kitchen faucet, and dishwasher. We also installed new shut-off valves and supply lines for both toilets, replaced the washing machine shut-off valves and hoses, and thoroughly tested every connection to ensure everything was operating properly with no leaks.
The home’s original 3/4-inch gate-style main water shut-off valve was also leaking and needed immediate attention. After carefully opening the wall to access the plumbing, our technician removed the failing valve and installed a new 3/4-inch ball valve for improved durability and easier operation. The new valve was fully tested to confirm reliable performance and a leak-free installation.
As part of the project, Bee’s also replaced the home’s aging Rheem 50-gallon electric water heater, which had been in service for over two decades. A new GE 50-gallon short electric water heater (GE50S08BAM) was installed with new flex connectors, earthquake straps, a drip pan with a water alarm, and the existing temperature and pressure relief drain connection. After completing the installation and testing the system, the homeowner was left with a safer, more dependable plumbing system backed by Bee’s one-year labor and materials warranty.
